Getting Found on line was the talk of Orlando last week. SMS(text) marketing, digital marketing, internet marketing all come down to social marketing now. Don spoke about the need to convert traffic into leads and then sales. In a room filled to capacity with forward thinking Dealers, General Managers and Factory personnel, Don Graff presented a powerful argument that if you do not participate in Social Media, you will be left behind!
Don detailed how Inbound Marketing must become part of the marketing mix in order to reach the Y generation, who will represent 40% of the car buying market by 2012. Don implored that the time is now, to get involved in Social Marketing, the longer you wait, the more customers you will lose. Participating in Social Marketing is not just simply signing up on Facebook and Twitter and adding their badges to your website Don explained. And it certainly is not flooding these sites with your weekly advertisement. You must offer information and insight about your company and products to attract fans or followers. Interact with the on-line public, so you know what the conversation is and influence the outcome of the discussion.
Don noted that this way of thinking will be new to many conference goers, but if you want to succeed, you must participate in the new media the proper way.
